BMW M62

The BMW M62 is an eight-cylinder V- engine from BMW and the successor to the M60 engine range. The engines were produced from 1996 to 2005 and in the BMW E31 models 8-seater, built 7 Series E38, 5 Series E39 and X5 E53. Furthermore, they were used eg in the Range Rover from Land Rover and the Morgan Aero 8. The most significant changes to its predecessor were the engine capacity expansions and the introduction of the variable VANOS camshaft control at the TU - version. The engine of the BMW M5 S62B50 Series E39 and the BMW Z8 is based on this engine range.
