Bo Carpelan
Bo Gustaf Bertelsson Carpelan ( born October 25, 1926 in Helsinki, † 11 February 2011) was a Swedish finland writer, literary critic and translator.
Life
Carpelan studied literature history at the University of Helsinki. His writing career began in 1946 with the poem book Som en dark värme. Between 1949 and 1964 he worked as a literary critic for the newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet. In the years 1964-1980 Carpelan worked as deputy library director of the Helsinki City Library. In 1973 he published his first novel, i Rösterna the sena mood. In addition to volumes of poetry and novels, his literary work includes a series of children's books.
