Bo Hansson

Bo Hansson ( born April 10, 1943 in Gothenburg, † April 24, 2010 in Stockholm) was a Swedish keyboard player and composer.

Life and work

Bo ( bosses ) Hansson was born in 1943. In his youth he came to Stockholm and turned on the electric guitar in rock music. He toured with Swedish rock bands. His further career in 1966 Gyllene Circeln, a jazz club in Stockholm. The American jazz organist " Brother Jack McDuff " played there. This experience was a turning point for Bos musical development. One day, Bo Hansson, inspired by Tolkien's book The Lord of the Rings, to compose the idea of ​​a music to it. He turned to the sound engineer Anders Lind, who had founded the record label Silence Records. The recordings were made in a cottage on an island near Stockholm on a portable 8- track tape machine.
