Bo people (Andaman)

The Bo was a tribe with their own language, which was located on the Indian archipelago of Andaman. It was a sub-tribe of the Great Andamanese. The last member of the tribe, Boa Senior died on 26 January 2010 at about 85 years. Thus died from the language of Bo. It is assumed that the Bo existed since 65,000 years and thus were one of the oldest human cultures. The tribe had its own language, part of the family of languages ​​of the Andaman languages ​​and on the arrival of British settlers in 1858 between 200 and 700 members. In the 1901 census were still alive 48 members of the tribe. First of all the battles against the British settlers and from these diseases brought many members of the tribe were killed.
