Bo Phloi District
Amphoe Bo Phloi ( Thai: อำเภอ บ่อพลอย ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the province ( Changwat ) Kanchanaburi. Kanchanaburi is located in the western part of central Thailand, capital of the district about 125 km north- west of Bangkok.
Geography
The neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Prue, the Lao Khwan, Huai Krachao, Phanom Thuan, Tha Muang, Amphoe Mueang Kanchanaburi and Si Sawat. All district belongs to the province of Kanchanaburi.
History
Bo Phloi was created initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Amphoe Mueang Kanchanaburi from parts of the. On July 1, 1963 to him the full Amphoe status was awarded.
Management
The circle is divided into six subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 80 villages ( Muban ).
There are two small towns ( Tambon thesaban ):
- Bo Phloi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อพลอย ) consists of parts of tambon Bo Phloi and Chong Dan,
- Nong Ri ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง รี ) consists of parts of the tambon Nong Ri
In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
