Bố Trạch District

Bó Trach ( Huyen Bó Trach ) is a district of the province of Quảng Bình in central Vietnam. It has an area of 2123 km ² and has 171 921 inhabitants (2003 ). Its main town is Hoan Lao ( Thi Tran Hoàn LAO). It is bordered to the north by Quang Trach and on the south by the Dong Hoi. In the west, forms the border with Laos its extension.

Geography

The district extends from the coast of the South China Sea to the east over a small plane around the sun river to the Truong Son Mountains to the west. It is crossed by the National Road 1 and the railway line between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Due to the mountainous region in the west led the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Structure

The group includes two small towns ( Thi Tran ) and 25 municipalities ( XA).

  • Communities: Nhân Trach, Thuong Trach, Tân Trach, Xuan Trach, Lâm Trach, Phúc Trach, Lâm Trach, Hưng Trach, Liên Trach, Mỹ Trach, Hạ Trach, Bắc Trach, Thanh Trach, and Trung Hải Trach Trach.
