Boar's Head Theatre

The Boar's Head Inn was an inn of the Elizabethan age in Whitechapel, east London. It was used in the early days as an inn theater. The first mention of a theater stage dated to the year 1557. On November 28, 1594 it was leased for 21 years of Jane and Henry Poley to Oliver Wood Liffe, the rent on March 25, 1595 began.

The Boar's Head Inn was the venue for theater groups such as the Earl of Derby 's Men, the Earl of Worcester 's Men, Prince Charles ' Men and Queen Anne 's Men It is considered the first known inn, which has been converted for the purposes of the theater.
