BoardGameGeek is an English-language web games database ( online database ), the games, authors and publishers games cataloged. It generates revenue through advertising and voluntary membership dues. Currently ( November 2012 ) there are registered about 62,000 games. As a registered user you can manage his own collection and rate games. From the individual reviews a ranking list of games is derived, which is calculated daily.

Since 2006, the Golden Geek Award is awarded for outstanding author games.
