Bob Arum

Bob Arum ( born December 8, 1931 in New York City ) is an American boxing promoter.

Through his company, Top Rank, in which even his son Todd du Boeuf is active, he promoted especially Latinos in the lower weight classes and less heavyweight, although he currently has Hasim Rahman under contract. Even Tommy Morrison and George Foreman trusted him. His most respected boxers currently is Manny Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather, however, left him recently. He also promoted Miguel Cotto.

The first match that he was promoting, in 1966 Muhammad Ali vs. George Chuvalo.

Arum is considered nemesis of Don King. Due to its competitors, it was for many years difficult for both promoters, to agree on fighting their boxers.

1999 was Arum induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
