Bob Davies

Robert Edris Davies ( born January 15, 1920 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, † April 22, 1990 in Hilton Head, South Carolina) called Harrisburg Houdini, was an American professional basketball player. Between 1948 and 1955 he played in the U.S. professional league NBA team for the Rochester Royals. Davies was 1.85 m tall and played on the position of the Guards. Together with Bobby Wanzer Davies made ​​one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA history, and led the Royals to win the 1951 NBA championship. His nickname he owes his extraordinary Dribble arts.

On April 11, 1970 Davies was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He died at the age of 70 from cancer.
