Bob de Jong

Bob Johannes Carolus de Jong ( born November 13, 1976 in Leimuiden ) is a Dutch speed skater.

In 1996, he broke the 3,000 m world record of men. The nineteen- year-old de Jong put the brand on 3:53,06. The specialist for 5,000 and 10,000 meters, won silver in the 10,000 m, in 1998 his first Olympic medal. It should be up to the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin last before he could Walk the gold medal in the 10,000 meters in front of Chad Hedrick and Carl Verheijen.
