Bob Gerard

Frank Robert " Bob" Gerard ( born January 19, 1914 in Leicester, † January 26, 1990 ) was a British racing driver.

Gerard began his racing career in 1933. With Riley, he played mountain and circuit races. After the Second World War, he took with ERA- car to race and remained part of this brand for several years connected even when there were better vehicles. 1947 Gerard won the Ulster Trophy and another race on the Isle of Man. He was third in the Grand Prix of Great Britain in 1948 and second in the same race in 1949.

In races of the Formula 1 World Championship Gerard went to sporadic. First he drove ERA- car, then Cooper models with which he started up in 1957. Three times, he finished sixth places for it at the time but were no World Championship points. In addition, Gerard played sports car racing.

After retiring from active racing, he remained connected until the 1980s, when team owner motorsport.
