Bob Haney

Robert " Bob" Haney ( born 1926 in Philadelphia, † 25 November 2004) was an American comic book writer.

Life and work

Haney began working as a professional comic book writer in the 1960s. Over the next 30 years, he was mostly working for the American market giant DC Comics as a writer of stories of different genres.

For DC Haney created series such as Metamorpho, B'wana Beast, Teen Titans and Doom Patrol. He also worked on series like The Brave and the Bold, Sergeant Rock, World 's Finest Comics, Blackhawk, The unknown Soldier, Deadman and Eclipso. Artists with whom Haney particularly often worked, included the artist Neal Adams and Jim Aparo.

The prices received Haney for his work, include an Alley Award 1968 for the best story ( " Track of the Hook" from The Brave and the Bold # 79).
