Bob Heil

Robert G. Heil ( born October 5, 1940 in St. Louis) is an American sound engineer.

Healing started in 1966, the company Heil Sound, which produced sound for rock concerts and installed. In 1973 he invented a powerful Talkbox, which was later sold by Jim Dunlop.

As the first device manufacturer Bob Heil was invited in 2007, permanent exhibit his historically important devices ( modular mixer, quadraphonic mixing console, Talkbox ) in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Later his company concentrated on the manufacture of microphones.

Bob Heil is a radio amateur with the callsign K9EID.
