Bob Love

Robert Earl Love ( born December 8, 1942 in Bastrop, Louisiana ) is a retired American professional basketball player. The 2.03 m wide and 98 -pound player was 1966-1977 active in the NBA.

Career

In the 1965 NBA Draft was Bob Love, who played previously at Southern University and A & M College, drawn by the Cincinnati Royals in the fourth round in seventh place (33rd pick overall). He joined a year later in the NBA. After two seasons with the Cincinnati Royals, he moved to the Milwaukee Bucks, where he graduated, however, only 14 games and was transferred even in the current season to the Chicago Bulls.

When the Bulls played Bob Love from 1968 until 1976. Already after a short time he became one of the most indispensable performers of franchise founded in 1966. From 1971 to 1976 Love was the sixth consecutive top scorer of the Bulls. Early 70s was Bob Love regularly reach the playoffs with his teammates Jerry Sloan and Chet Walker, to a degree or finals but it was not enough. In the years 1971-1973 Love was allowed three times to participate in the All- Star Game. In his time with the Chicago Bulls, he was named to the All- NBA Team (2nd) (1971, 1972) as well as the NBA All-Defensive Team (2nd) (1972, 1974, 1975 ) selected. In his last NBA season, the season 1976/1977 he was a first for the Chicago Bulls, later active then for the New York Nets and the Seattle SuperSonics in the game. In his career, Bob Love scored 17.6 points per game, 5.9 rebounds and picked distributed 1.4 assists.

The Chicago Bulls will wear the number 10 is no longer awarded in honor of Bob Love since 1994.
