Bob Schul

Bob school (actually Robert Keyser school, born September 28, 1933, West Milton, Ohio ) is a former American middle and long distance runner and Olympic champion.

Schuls success was significantly associated with the methods of his coach Mihaly Igloi and Arthur Lydiard. While at university school came up with the competitive sports in contact. He focused on the mile run and quickly improved. During this training, he developed an interest in the 3,000 -meter steeplechase, for which he quickly appropriated the appropriate technology due to its excellent movement feeling. However, since the 3000 m steeplechase running was rare at University of routes, he exercised regularly and for longer distances. 1959 interrupted his university studies school and enlisted in the Air Force, where were the best options for a running workout. For a long time was even questionable whether the school could ever operate a competitive sport, but he fell ill on glandular fever, which made for a longer hospital stay required.

In 1963, he won the 5000m bronze medal at the Pan American Games. The following year he achieved his greatest success at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. About 5000 m he won in 13:48,8 min before the German Harald Norpoth ( 13:49,6 ) and his compatriot Bill Dellinger ( 13:49,8 ).

After his Olympic victory Bob school ended his career.
