Career

Sinclar started his career as a hip-hop and funk DJ at the age of 18 years under the name Chris the French Kiss. His first big success was Gym & Tonic in collaboration with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk. Caused a sensation in the song because Sinclar had unlawfully mix to a sample with the voice of Jane Fonda. Since Sinclar and Bangalter the song in England were not allowed to publish, he was quickly re-recorded by the British formation Spacedust and on 24 October 1998 they came up with this number # 1 on the British charts. The name Bob Sinclar is a Re -Edit of Bob Saint -Clar, the fantasy alter ego of Jean -Paul Belmondo character in the film Le Magnifique by Philippe de Broca.

Bob Sinclar was known for his productions for a long time as a representative of the French House style. More recent productions are more likely to be described as pop and consist of a mix of house and hip hop. His song Feel for You, a tribute to French musician Cerrone to, from his second album Champs Elysées, came into the UK Top 40 at number 9

Under the pseudonyms The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet Sinclar is also working on hip-hop and acid jazz pieces. He also founded the Africanism project, combining house music with Latin, jazz and African music. Here especially his collaboration with the Brazilian singer Salomé de Bahia is emphasized their common work Outro Lougar turn of the millennium was a great success.

2005 Love Generation (feat. Goleo VI and Wailers singer Gary Pine ) as the official song of the mascot of the soccer World Cup 2006 Goleo VI was (but not, as is often mistakenly assumed as the official World Cup song ) published. Between February and April 2006, it was repeatedly No. 1 on the German charts. Love Generation was the best- selling single of 2006 in Germany.

It is striking that Bob Sinclar had the boy David Beaudoin used in his songs Love Generation, World, Hold On and Rock This Party as the main actor in the music video.

In 2006, he was honored at the World Music Awards in London with the price of the currently best DJs in the world.
