Bob Uecker

Robert George "Bob" Uecker ( born January 26, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American sportscaster, actor and former major league professional baseball.

Life

Uecker was raised in Milwaukee and signed his first professional contract in 1956 with the Milwaukee Braves. His first game in the MLB he had in 1962., He moved to the St. Louis Cardinals with whom he won the championship in 1964. About the Philadelphia Phillies, he returned to the Braves, who had meanwhile become the Atlanta Braves, in which he and his pro career ended in 1967. 1971 Uecker began as a radio reporter the games of the Milwaukee Brewers to comment, then he also became a television reporter for the ABC.
