Bob Van Osdel

Bob Van Osdel (Robert Logan Van Osdel; born April 1, 1910 in Selma, California, † April 6, 1987 in West Hollywood ) was an American high jumper.

On March 22, 1930, he presented with 2,013 m in Los Angeles on a Weltjahresbestleistung.

In 1932 he was U.S. champion. At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles as he crossed three other athletes 1.97m. In the jump he won the silver medal behind the Canadians Duncan McNaughton and before the Filipino Simeon Toribio.

Bob Van Osdel graduated from the University of Southern California and practiced by his athletic career as a dentist.
