Bob Veith drove 1955-1968 in the AAA National Championship Series and its successor, the USAC series. 63 times the Americans was at the start and recorded 37 finishes among the top ten. For a win it was never enough, however. Two second places stand out as best placements to book.
Eleven times he was with the 500 miles of Indianapolis at the start. Three times he came there in the top ten. 1958 already ended the race for him after a round. Veith was involved in the mass accident in which Pat O'Connor was killed.
Since the 500 miles included from 1950 to 1960 the world championship of Formula 1, Veith also participated in five World Cup races.
