Bobby Edwards

Bobby Edwards ( born January 18, 1926 as Robert Moncrief in Anniston, † July 31, 2012 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee ) was an American singer.

Life

Bobby Edwards grew up in Anniston, Alabama on and dealt with early country music. The first known recording is from the year 1959: a Bluebonnet recording of Jealous Heart by Jenny Lou Carson. Edwards founded in 1960 with the trio Darrell, Gib & Ernie (after members Darrell Cotton, Gib Guilbeau and Ernie Williams ) the group The four young men, and they released the singles I Goof and Just or Unjust, the local hits were.

The Crest Records single You're the reason, but Edwards published under his name, was a national hit, reaching # 4 on the country charts and number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1961.
