Bobby Schilling

Robert Todd "Bobby" Schilling ( born January 23, 1964 in Iceland skirt, Illinois) is an American politician. From 2011 to 2013 he represented the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Bobby Schilling attended Alleman Catholic High School in Rock Iceland and then the Black Hawk College in Moline until 1982. In the following years he worked for the company Container Corporation of America and then in the insurance industry. He was also an active member of the United Paperworkers International Union in the trade union movement. In 1996, he opened with his wife, a pizza restaurant in Moline, which is owned by the family today. Politically he was originally close to the Democratic Party. Over the years, his views became more conservative and he became a member of the Republican Party and later the Tea Party movement.

In the congressional elections of 2010, Schilling was in the 17th electoral district of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Phil Hare on January 3, 2011. He was a member of the Agriculture Committee, the Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Small Business and in four sub-committees. In the congressional elections in 2012 he lost with 47:53 percent of the vote against Democrat Cheri Bustos, who on January 3, 2013 could replace him with it in Parliament.

Bobby Schilling is married. With his wife Christie he has ten children. Private family lives in Colona.
