Bobby Tambling

Robert Victor 'Bobby' Tambling ( born September 18, 1941 in Storrington, Horsham ( District ) ) is a former English footballer and football coach.

Career

As a striker with distinct eye for goal, the Briton 1957 signed a contract with Chelsea, first as a youth player, then in 1959 as a professional. He made his debut against West Ham United this year. In this debut, he also scored equal to Premierentor. After descending 1962 he was appointed by the new coach Tommy Docherty as the new captain of the team. He rose with the Blues in the following year again. On the climb year Tambling was also his debut in the England team. In November 1963, he was ran against Northern Ireland. In 1965 he was English Leaugue Cup winner with FC Chelsea. After he was only rarely used, he moved in 1970 for the equivalent of € 59,000 to Crystal Palace. After two more inserts and a goal in the national team in October 1973 he went to Ireland to Cork Celtic, with whom he was Irish champion immediately. In 1974 he finished his playing career and was pure and 1977 player-manager of Cork Celtic. In 1984 he was again coach at Cork City. Bobby Tambling was until May 11, 2013, the Chelsea player with the most goals in all competitions for the CFC, he was in fact 202 Superseded by Frank Lampard.
