Bobcat Company

Bobcat Company is a manufacturer of compact loaders, excavators, telehandlers, four-wheel multi-purpose vehicles and related attachments.

History

1947 saw the establishment of Melroe Manufacturing Company in North Dakota, USA by two blacksmiths, established the machinery for the farmers in the area. 1960 comes the first drive- guided skid steer loaders on the market. About the Clark Equipment Company production of the Bobcat loader 1970 comes into the Scheid Maschinenfabrik in Villmar. In 1972, the entire production was relocated to North Dakota. 1995 Melroe and Clark are acquired by Ingersoll Rand. 2001, there was a takeover of Superstav based in Dobris, Czech Republic. 2007, there was the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Dobris and the sale of Bobcat Company by Ingersoll Rand to Doosan Infracore.

Types

Bobcat sells, among other things, the following type series:

  • The S series includes compact wheel loaders, which can be equipped with either a shovel, a fork or a grave device. The machines have a four-wheel drive and are mainly used for gardening and landscaping.
  • The T-Series includes telescopic handlers, with which one can move loads up. These are offered in various designs for the construction industry or for agriculture.
  • The E-series includes compact excavators with a small footprint, because the superstructure rotates without exceeding the size of the caterpillars.
  • The T- series of compact track loaders.
  • When attachments are Auger, Backhoe, shields, blades. Spoon, forestry mulchers, grapples, forks, hydraulic hammers, pallet forks, dustpans, Tree transplanter, grave cutter omd some others sold for special applications.
