Bocas del Toro is the provincial and district capital of the province of Bocas del Toro and the same named district within the province of the Central American country of Panama.

The town has about 3,600 inhabitants ( 2006 calculation ) and is located on the island of Colon. It is the tourist center of the archipelago and is accessible by boat from the mainland and offers many hotels, hostels, restaurants, etc.

All resorts in the island by bicycle (which you can rent anywhere ) easily accessible, which is, however, considerably more difficult in the rainy season, as many roads on the island are unpaved and turn into muddy roads.
