Bochil is a municipality in the center of the Mexican state of Chiapas. Its name comes from the Nahuatl and means the chocolate bowl.

The municipality has about 30,000 inhabitants and is 366.4 km ². Administrative seat and largest town is the same Bochil. The municipality borders the Municipalities Coapilla, Pantepec, Jitotol, El Bosque, Larráinzar, Ixtapa, Soyaló and Chicoasén.
