History

First mention of Bockstadt

The cloister Bockstadt probably written in the period from the 7th to the 12th century simultaneously with numerous monasteries. In a land register for the office of Count Henry VIII of Hennesburg, 1340 Bokestat first mentioned.

Earlier assumptions, with the date specified in the certificate of Erpho 802/817 place Botolfestat was Bockstadt meant not to be taken. It is now known that Botelfestat represents Bodelstadt in Itzgrund.
