Bodegisel

Boggis (probably as a short form of Bodogisel ) was Duke of Aquitaine. He probably lived in the first half of the 7th century.

The only secure source of Boggis ' existence is the " Vita Landiberto episcopi Traiectensis " ( Life of Bishop Lambert of Maastricht) the canon Nicholas, the Duke of Aquitaine Boggis and his wife Oda (also St. Oda of Amay or Chrodoara d' Amay ), mentions this as amita, ie paternal aunt Lamberts.

Is Reported that the Duke 587, the abbey founded Glandern and one of its abbots was.

The Charter of Alaon Boggis is called and thus the connecting link between the Merovingians and the first Duke of Aquitaine House, the son of the Frankish king Charibert II († 632) and as the father of the Duke Eudo of Aquitaine († 735 ). As the Charter of Alaon that purports to date from the year 845, is a forgery of the 17th century, this information is worthless.
