Bodenbach
Bottom stream is a municipality in the district of volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kelberg.
Geography
The place is located in the natural park Eifel and partly in the nature reserve " Kelberg ". Due to the location of Bodenbacher stream flows.
History
1563 included the town of twelve, 1684 15 fireplaces. Gorgeous country they belonged to the late 18th century to the Electorate of Trier and was under as part of the Zents Bongard in court Kelberg the office administration down. 1787 saw the bottom stream 145 inhabitants.
In 1794, French revolutionary troops had occupied the left bank of the Rhine. Under the French administration soil Bach belonged from 1798 to 1814 for Canton Adenau in the Rhine- Moselle department. Because of the 1815 taken at the Congress of Vienna agreements, the region came to the Kingdom of Prussia. Under Prussian administration, the communal land Bach was assigned to the circle Adenau in the Region of Koblenz and was managed by the mayor Kelberg. This was in 1927 in the Official Kelberg and 1968 in the municipality Kelberg on. After the First World War the area was under French military administration. Following the dissolution of the circle Adenau in 1932 soil Bach came to the district of Mayen. Since 1946, the region is part of Rhineland- Palatinate and belonged until 1949 to the French occupation zone.
During the municipal reorganization of Rhineland-Palatinate, the community came on November 7, 1970 by the same resolution Mayen down to the district (now county Volcanic Eifel ).

Religion
Ground in the Eifel mountains is the parish seat of the parish of " St. Apollonia soil Bach ", including the regions of soil Bach, Bongard ( Branch Church of St. Agatha ), Borler ( Chapel of St. Bernard) and Gelenberg (St. Wendelin Chapel ). About 90 % of the population belongs to the Roman Catholic Church.
