Bodo Rudwaleit

Bodo Rudwaleit ( born August 3, 1957 in Woltersdorf ) was goalkeeper in the GDR Oberliga for the Berliner FC Dynamo and for steel and ironworks town and played 33 times in the national football team of the GDR. In 1980 he won the silver medal in the Olympic football tournament in Moscow.

Career as a football player

Berliner FC Dynamo

Rudwaleit began in 1965 at the BSG unit Wolter village playing football. In 1969 he moved to the youth of the BFC Dynamo. Until the A- youth, he played Libero, then he moved into the goal. For the Berlin he played from 1977 to 1989 over 20 years in 313 games ( of which 219 are in an unbroken series) and witnessed the marriage of the BFC with. He was with Dynamo under the direction of coach Jürgen Bogs 1979-1988 ten times in a row GDR champion and twice won the East German soccer cup. After he had been at the beginning of the season 1989/90 until 9 matchday BFC Gate and denied all four European games, was coach Helmut Jaeschke in the next games which ten years his junior goalkeeper Oskar Kosche a chance. Then Rudwaleit first stated his immediate resignation from football.

National Goalkeeper of the GDR

From 1976 to 1980 Rudwaleit belonged to the squad of the East German junior national team, for whom he played 24 international matches. A debut on the international stage he had on 16 November 1976 U-21 game GDR - where CSSR (1:2). At his first appearance in the senior team, he came on 9 February 1979 friendly match Iraq - DDR (1:1). Until 1988 Rudwaleit stood 33 times in goal for the senior team. In 1980 he was keeper of the East German Olympic team in the Olympic football tournament in the Soviet Union. Of the six games he played five, including the final, the 0-1 lost the GDR selection against the CSSR.

Eisenhüttenstädter FC steel

Three months after his resignation could be Rudwaleit beginning of 1990 recruit from the league - newcomer steel ironworks town for the next goalkeeper Andreas Hawa he played five league games until the end of the season. 1990/91 he was the successor club Eisenhüttenstädter FC steel undisputed goalkeeper. He played in all 26 league - point games and the Cup Final on June 2, 1991 ( 0-1 against Hansa Rostock).

Berlin clubs from 1991

From 1991 to 1993 Rudwaleit was goalkeeper for Tennis Borussia Berlin in the third-tier Oberliga Nordost. Of the 66 point games the two seasons, he missed only two games and helped TeBe 1993 promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. Then he said goodbye to the power football and only played at amateur level, first from 1993 to 1997 at the BSC Marzahn in Berlin league and then the FV Erkner 1920 in the Spree league. When FV Erkner 1920 he also worked as a youth coach, since 2004 the BFC Dynamo as a goalkeeper coach. In the meantime, Bodo Rudwaleit was responsible for sports development in the BFC Dynamo also as an assistant coach. In the summer of 2006, he withdrew from all posts at Dynamo, however, was in January 2008 again goalkeeping coach at the BFC.
