Bogan Shire

Bogan is located in the North - Western region about 570 km northwest of the city of Sydney. The area includes 33 districts and towns: Babinda, Balgay, Bobadah, Buddabadah, Buttabone Stud Park, Canonbar, Colane, Coolabah, Five Ways, Girilambone, Grahweed, Hermidale, Honeybugle, Merryanbone, Miandetta, Mirilba, Monkey Bridge, Moonagee, Mudall, Mulla, Muriel, Murrawombie, Nyngan, Pangee, Pangee Park, Quinine Park, The Glen, Thorndale, Trowell Creek, Warrigal, Widgeland and parts of Byrock and Canonba. The seat of the Shire Council is located in the town of Nyngan in the east of the LGA, where about 2,400 inhabitants.

The geographical center of New South Wales is in the territory of the Bogan Shire.

Management
