Bogo-Indian Defence

In the Bogolyubov - Indian Defence ( also briefly: Bogo - Indian) is an opening of the chess game. It is among the Closed Games and is named after Efim Bogolyubov, a Ukrainian- German world class player in the first half of the 20th century. Your ECO code E11.

The original positional idea of Bogo - Indian is exchange the dark-squared bishop in order to stem with d7 - d6 and e6 - e5 in the center and set the white center pawns on white squares, namely on e4 and d5. A white -span rotor of white would be slightly worse than the white -span of black. It is about the strategic concept " good runner vs. Poor runner".
