Bohuslav, Count Chotek of Chotkow and Wognin

Boguslaw Count Chotková of Chotkow ( born July 4, 1829 in Prague, † October 11, 1896 in Görlitz) came of an old Bohemian noble family and was a diplomat in the service of the monarchy of Austria - Hungary.

Boguslaw ( Bohuslaw ) was the younger son of Charles Chotková of Chotkow ( 1783-1868 ), Governor of Tyrol, 1826-1843 Colonel Viscount in Prague and Gubernialpräsident in Bohemia, and his wife Marie, née Countess Berchtold ( nobility ), Baroness von Ungarschitz, Pulitz and Fratting, had the older brother Anton (1822-1883), on large Priesen ( Velke Brezno ) and Zahorzan on the Elbe in Bohemia, married to Olga von Moltke ( noble ) and was the grandson of Johann Nepomuk Rudolph Graf Chotková of Wognin (* 1748, † 1624), heir to the Entailed Estate Jeniowes ( Jenineves ) and Weltrus ( Veltrury ) in central Bohemia, in 1802 Colonel Viscount in Prague and Gubernialpräsident in the kingdom of Bohemia, married on 18 May 1772 in Vienna with Maria Sidonia Gräfin von Clary and Aldringens.

Bohuslaw Count Chotková was married to Countess Wilhelmine Kinsky to Wchinitz and Tettau their marriage came eight children.

Count Bohuslaw of Chotková was since the year 1867 in the Austrian diplomatic service, 1869-1871 ambassador to St. Petersburg, 1871 provisional governor of Bohemia, then ambassador in Madrid, 1873 in Brussels and then in Dresden.
