Bok de Korver

John Marius " Bok " de Korver ( born January 27, 1883 in Rotterdam, † October 22, 1957 ) was a Dutch football player.

The center-half played until 1913 a total of 31 caps for the Dutch national football team, scoring one goal. He was a member of the first Dutch national squad of Belgium defeated on April 30, 1905, 4:1. 1908 and 1912 he won the Olympic bronze medal with the national team, in 1912 he led his team to doing as captain.

At club level he played up to the age of 16 at Volharding Rotterdam and moved to Sparta Rotterdam in 1902, for whom he played until 1923. He won a total of five times (1909, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1915) the Dutch championship and was one of the most popular football player of his time.
