Bolbec

Bolbec is a commune with 11,732 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- Maritime in the Haute -Normandie; it belongs to Arrondissement Le Havre and Canton Bolbec.

History

The place is in the 11th century as Bolebec. Norse place name bekkr "Bach" of Boli ( Danish- Nordic monomial nickname, which also appears in the eight kilometers away Bolle Ville) was first mentioned.

After World War I, was a camp for German prisoners of war.

Twinning
