Bolesław Pylak

Bolesław Pylak ( born August 20, 1921 in Lopiennik Dolny, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland) is a retired archbishop of Lublin.

Life

The Bishop of Lublin Stefan Wyszynski donated to him on 29 June 1948, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on March 14, 1966 Titular Bishop of Midica and Auxiliary Bishop of Lublin. He received his episcopal consecration of the Bishop of Lublin on 29 May of the same year; Co-consecrators were Ignacy Tokarczuk, Bishop of Przemysl, and Jan Mazur, Auxiliary Bishop of Lublin. On 27 June 1975 he became bishop of Lublin and the elevation to the archbishopric, he was on 25 March 1992 became the first Archbishop of Lublin.

On June 14, 1997 Pope John Paul II accepted his pre- mounted resignation for reasons of age.
