Boleszkowice, Myślibórz County

Boleszkowice ( German: Fürstenfelde ) is a village in the powiat Mysliborski in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and administrative center of the municipality of the same country.

Geographical location

The place is located in the southern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, ten kilometers east of the Oder. Through the village leads the provincial road 31, on the north Chojna (Königsberg Nm.) And south Kuestrin ( Kostrzyn nad Odra ) can be reached. The next German -Polish border crossing is located in Kostrzyn and is 23 kilometers away. Located just outside the town railway station is on the railway line Szczecin - Kostrzyn. To the west and south, a large forest area spreads.

History

In 1252 the village (villa) came under the name of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg Vurstenuelde to the Bishop of Lebus. In a financial registers of 1337 Furstenveld is listed as a town ( opidum ), which belonged to the family of Hagen lamp. After the death of Margrave Waldemar (1280-1319) claimed the Bishop of Lebus that Fürstenfelde must now pass into his possession. In 1354, the city he was awarded such a way that the Marquis should take it from him as a fief.

At the beginning of the 19th century Fürstenfelde was a completely open official and market towns without walls and gates, with a Quartschen the royal office belonging Office Vorwerk. On 29 March 1814, the city burned down to 18 homes.

In 1730 Fürstenfelde had 14 houses with tiled roof and 85 houses with thatched roof, and 1801 there were 38 houses with tiled roof and 95 with a thatched roof. In 1850 there were 203 houses in the town, 320 outbuildings and ten commercial buildings.

By 1945 Fürstenfelde belonged to the district of Königsberg Nm. in the district of Frankfurt, the province of Brandenburg. The local court and the competent tax office were in Kuestrin.

After the end of World War II Fürstenfelde was as Boleszkowice part of Poland.
