The Great Anjui (Russian Большой Анюй / Bolshoi Anjui ) is a 693 km long right tributary of the Kolyma River in northeastern Siberia above the Arctic Circle (Russia, Asia). Shortly before the mouth of the river with the little Anjui united to Anjui.
Course
The Great Anjui arises in almost 560 m on the Anadyr Plateau from about 20 to 30 kilometers headwaters Right and Left Iljukeiwejem ( Prawy or Lewy Iljukeiwejem; Russian / tschukschisch Правый / Левый Илюкейвеем ). It flows through the low mountain range west of the Chukotka peninsula in western initially, later a north-westerly direction along the southwest border of the mountain to the confluence with the Little Anjui to Anjui on the eastern edge of the Kolyma lowland. The Anjui opens after only eight kilometers in the lower reaches of the Kolyma. Great and Little Anjui are already 15 kilometers upstream ( south ) from its confluence connected by a narrow arm.
The main tributaries are Angarka and Kameschkowa of right and Alutschin, Peschenka and Yarovaya from the left.
The Great Anjui flows almost the entire course on the territory of the Autonomous Okrug of the Chukchi until near the mouth it reaches the extreme north- east of the Republic of Sakha ( Yakutia).
Hydrographic
The catchment area of the Great Anjui includes 57.2 thousand km ². The river is in the mouth area about 400 feet wide and two feet deep; The flow rate is 0.5 m / s
The average discharge is at the measuring point Konstantinovo, 67 kilometers above the mouth of 267 m³ / s, with a monthly minimum of 2.3 m³ / s in March and a maximum of 1273 m³ / s in June.

Infrastructure
The lower reaches of the Great Anjui is navigable, but is not used for inland navigation, as the area is traversed by virtually uninhabited. Therefore, any other infrastructure is lacking.
