The Bolshoi Ice Palace (Russian Ледовый дворец " Большой ") is a multi-purpose arena in Sochi, Russia. The arena was next to the Shaiba - ice arena hosted the hockey competitions at the Olympic Winter Games 2014.

Description

The arena was completed in 2012 and holds up to 12,000 spectators. As a test competition before the Olympic Winter Games Ice Hockey World Championship U18 Junior is planned for April 2013.

Originally, the construction of the arena should cost about 180 million U.S. dollars, currently it is assumed that construction costs in the amount of 300 million U.S. dollars. After the end of the Winter Games the arena will be transformed into a sports and concert hall.
