Boluspor

Boluspor is a Turkish football club from Bolu. The club was founded on 28 December 1965. The club colors are red and white since its founding.

History

On December 28, 1965, the clubs and Abantspor Bolu Gençlik united as a team and called themselves Boluspor. Boluspor was after its founding, one of the first teams in Turkish football with the full Board. In her first year as a pro in the season 1966/67, Boluspor reached the 11th place. In seasons 1967/68 and 1968/69 it was 5th and 3rd in the then following season 1969/70, the Red -Whites managed promotion to the 1st League and won the Premier Cup.

Four years after the rise Boluspor reached the best result of the season with a 3rd place in the Süper Lig The last good result achieved so far Bolu in the season 1980 / 81st In the cup final they lost to MKE Ankaragucu with a total result of 1:2 ( 1:2 Hin, back 0:0). Boluspors so far last game in the first league was in 1992. Thereafter, it was quiet around the club. 10 years after relegation to the second league, the former first division team played suddenly in the 4th league. Meanwhile, the club has rehabilitated. Since the season 2007/ 08 the club occurs again in the second league. In the 2007/2008 season Boluspor missed promotion to the Turkish Super League only just because the club lost the last relegation match on 18 May 2008 against the traditional club Eskisehirspor 0-2.

The legendary in the late '80s football player Ridvan Dilmen began his career at Boluspor.

Fans

Boluspor has a very well-organized fan base, the " Bolulu Yarenler " call themselves. This Fangruppe support the team both at home and away very strong. In recent years, however, there was always the riots, so the club had to pay heavy fines.

League affiliations

Boluspor played 20 years in the first Turkish league, in the Eternal table leather Süper Lig Boluspor occupied the 19th place.
