Bomporto

Bomporto is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9993 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Modena in the Emilia- Romagna. The community is located approximately 12.5 kilometers northeast of Modena on Panaro, a few kilometers west flows the Secchia.

History

Due to the significant Nonantola Abbey extends the history of the place, especially the suburb Sobara until the 10th century.

The Porte Viciane is an important building from the 17th century.
