Bongabon is a Philippine municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija.

Bongabon is a leading onion producer in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Each Baranggay in Bongabon has its own fiesta. The celebrated throughout Bongabon Sibuyasan Onion Festival is held annually in the first and second week in April.

History

Missionaries of the Augustinian Order who preached Catholicism in Pampanga extended their outposts in the territory of today's province of Nueva Ecija by following the river Pampanga. 1659 Founded in the sequence santol (the present Baranggay Santor ). 1760 Bongabon was declared an independent city and parish and St. Francis of Assisi to the local saint.

Bongabon was the first capital of the province of Nueva Ecija.
