Boo Weekley

Thomas Brent "Boo" Weekley ( born July 23, 1973 in Milton, Florida) is an American professional golfer on the PGA TOUR.

Career

Weekley became a professional golfer in 1997 and played on smaller tournament series. In 2002 he qualified for the PGA TOUR, but could not assert themselves and recorded from 2003 to 2006, the second- Tiered Nationwide Tour. In 2007 he again reached the eligibility for the PGA TOUR and has since come Weekley three tournament victories. He won the Verizon Heritage in both 2007 and 2008, and thus came temporarily into the top 50 in the World Golf Rankings off what he promised eligibility for majors and the highly doped events on the World Golf Championships tournament series.

Weekley represented the United States together with Heath Slocum at the World Cup 2007 at the Mission Hills Golf Club. The two failed only in the jump to Scotland and took second place. In 2008 he first played in the Ryder Cup Team of the USA, which was able to record the first Cup win since 1999.

His nickname Boo he owes the cartoon character Boo Boo, a bear from the TV series Yogi Bear.
