Book of Dzyan

As a book of Dzyan or book Dzyan (English Book of Dzyan ) is used in esoteric and especially in modern theosophy called a fictitious, supposedly very old and secret book that will be saved in Tibet by adepts of a secret brotherhood.

The " punching" of the Book of Dzyan contained in The Secret Doctrine (1888, German: The Secret Doctrine ) by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the founder of modern Theosophy. This major work of Blavatsky is constructed as extensive comment of punching and claims to be able to explain the " Urwahrheiten " of all religions. The Book of Dzyan designated Blavatsky as the oldest document in the world. She used for different spellings ( Dan, Jan- na, Djan, Dzyn or Dzen ), claiming that it had been written in the secret language Senzar that will allegedly used by all adepts worldwide as mysteries language. There are, however, no independent confirmations. Blavatsky also claimed that it is the book of Dzyan to the first volume of " incredibly ancient comments seven secret books of Kiu - te " the principal, contained the archaic doctrines concerning the origin and development of races and worlds.

More punching Theosophist Alice Bailey published the Treatise on Cosmic Fire, A (1925, German: A Treatise on Cosmic Fire ).

Dzyan is the Tibetan name of the Daoists Ly- tzyn, who lived in the fourth century and the book Yu- Fu -King ( engl. The Book of the Secret Correspondences ) wrote, which was published in 1878 again in Florence and Blavatsky will have been known.

The Jewish Theosophist Leonard Bosman postulated, however, in 1913, the Book of Dzyan was based on the Sifra di - Tzeniutha, part of the reason Kabbalistic work Zohar. The religious historian Gershom Scholem subscribed to this thesis.

References to the Book of Dzyan can be found in the work of fantasy attributable to the U.S. American writer HP Lovecraft and other authors of the Cthulhu Mythos. From 1972 to 1974 there was in Germany a fusion band called Dzyan.
