Boquerón department

Boqueron is a department in Paraguay, it is one of 17 administrative districts. In 1992, the Department of Nueva Asunción was incorporated, making the old relations were restored from before 1945. At the same time Filadelfia became the new capital (before Doctor Pedro P. Peña ).

In the department there are also the most settlements German Mennonites: Remote Home, Menno, and new territory. About one- third of the population speaks German in the department.
