Borabue District

Amphoe Borabue ( in Thai อำเภอ บรบือ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the center of the province of Maha Sarakham. The Maha Sarakham Province is located in the center of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

History

Amphoe Borabue was established in 1897 under the name Patchim Sarakham ( ป จิ ม สาร คาม ). In 1913, he was renamed Thakhon Yang ( ท่า ข ร ยาง ). In 1914, the Governor of Maha Sarakham he gave the new name Borabue ( first written as บ่อ ระบือ to บรบือ later shortened ).

Management

Amphoe Borabue is divided into 15 communes ( tambon), which in turn in 203 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Borabue ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บรบือ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Borabue.

There are also 15 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
