Borah Bergman

Life and work

Bergman, who comes from a musical family, played clarinet as a child. After military service, he studied English and Music at New York University, and then to work as a teacher. Although he only started about 20 years to play the piano, he was a jazz pianist of exceptional technical and improvisatory skills. In 1954 he joined occasionally on the public. After intense training, especially of the left hand, he published between 1975 and 1985 four solo albums, first two at Chiaroscuro, then two with the label Soul Note.
