The Office Bordesholm is an office in Rendsburg -Eckernförde district in Schleswig -Holstein with administrative headquarters in Bordesholm.

History

After the dissolution of the monastery Bordesholm in 1566 during the Reformation arose from the related areas of the temporal Office Bordesholm owned by the Dukes Gottorfer. Through the Prussian administrative reform in 1867, the Office was dissolved and replaced by the new county seat in Kiel with Bordesholm. This group was later disbanded, from one of 18 administrative districts gained its present office.

1947 included the Office as the Office Bordesholm country the eight municipalities Grevenkrug, Hoffeld, Loop, Mühbrook, Schmalstede, Schönbek, Sören and Wattenbek.

With the county and offices reform of 1970, the Office of Bruges Plön district was dissolved. On 1 June 1970, the five municipalities Bissee, Bruges, Groß Buchwald, Negenharrie and Reesdorf joined the Office Bordesholm country. The other three municipalities Böhnhusen, Schönhorst and Techelsdorf joined the Office Flintbek.

Since 1 July 2007, the municipalities of the former Office Bordesholm country and the community Bordesholm form the Office Bordesholm.
