Bordj Bou Arreridj (Arabic: برج بوعريريج, DMG castle Bū ʿ Urairīğ ) is an Algerian town and capital of the province. The city has around 170,000 inhabitants ( 2005 estimate ).

Bordj Bou Arreridj located approximately 200 km east of Algiers on the northern slopes of the mountains in Hodna 916 meters above sea level.

The economy is based mainly on agriculture and forestry, industry is only on a small scale available. It is also the administrative center.

Transport default, the city by road and rail with Setif (70 km east ) and Algiers is connected.
