Borgarey

Borgarey is an island in the West Fjords in northwestern Iceland.

It is in an area of 0.4 km ² one kilometer long and up to 500 meters wide. The highest elevation reached 32 meters above the sea level. The island is uninhabited by humans but many birds, particularly eider ducks nest here. Borgarey lies entirely inside the Ísafjarðardjúp before Vatnsfjörður and the entrance to the fjord Isafjordur.
